Eyewear Racquetball Discount Tennis Gear

Eyewear is a mandatory ‘must-have’ piece of equipment for both the experience and novice racquet sport player. Because of the dangers associated with ball speed and the margin for accuracy error, eye protection is of vital importance. Racquet sport players will tell you that you wear eye protection whenever possible and that you should never take chances with your eye health and safety in sports.

Eyewear designs are suited to fit children through adults and come in a variety of shapes, designs, and colors. Some tennis players choose simply to wear shatter resistant sunglasses, especially when playing outdoors. Eyewear can also be customized to suit players with prescriptive lens needs. The eyewear itself can be outfitted with prescription lenses or can be purchased to fit over the top of glasses. Protective eyewear is manufactured by nearly every sports manufacturing company and carry a varying range of prices. Eyewear can be worn with a head strap, or ‘croakie’ and can also be worn with a set of simple earpieces.

The most important thing to consider when purchasing racquetball eyewear is that the eyewear itself fit properly to the size and shape of your head. You should avoid eyewear that slips, slides, falls, shifts, or fogs. Nor do you want to purchase eyewear that’s too small or too tight. It is also important to ensure that your eyewear covers your full eye and the eye socket; and maybe even the bridge of the nose. Your visibility will be as important as your protection come game time. For this reason, many players avoid tinted lenses or lenses that boast logos and other stamps.
