Great court shoes

I started playing racquetball regularly against my much younger and stronger/faster brother in law. I was wearing some old tennis shoes to play and found that they didn't offer nearly enough support for sudden changes in motion or for the running I was doing. I decided to buy a pair of shoes meant for playing tennis/racquetball and bought this pair from Amazon due to good reviews. I've had them for about a month now and really feel they've helped me play better. I can stop/start/move laterally much more comfortably and better than my old pair of shoes. I never think much about my feet now as I've got no issues with them. They are comfortable and look snazzy. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Just discovered the joys of playing tennis and the need for sneakers that support your feet properly while playing tennis. These feel great, support my foot during lateral acceleration, and the black ones look cool! I can tell the difference between playing in these and my beloved 992's. I wouldn't run farther than 100 feet in the 1004's and I won't play tennis in the 992's (any more).

I was suffering from pain in my forefoot each time I played Pickleball. No more pain with this shoe.

My husband plays tennis several days a week, even in winter. Trying to find a shoe that is comfortable on his EE foot & doesn't irritate his plantar fascitis is a chore. Thankfully these shoes fit perfectly & work with his custom orthotic footbeds. Even though they are a bit pricey, they are definitely worth the money.
Comfortable and functional

Comfortable, and very functional on the court. These run about a full size LARGER than what I wear in Nike & Adidas, so you might want to try some NBs on locally before ordering online to confirm your size.

This is the best shoe I have ever worn..... First, I have wide feet, or, Freddies, and NB is the only maker wide enough. I am very hard on shoes on the tennis court, hard and clay courts, and these shoes hold up. I've even purchased an extra pair of black and white, each, to ensure I have enough to get through the season. Can't say enough good about these shoes. More colors would be nice, otherwise, perfect.
Great Shoe!

It's hard finding a good shoe in size 15US. I have a narrow foot, and my 6'4" 280lb frame makes it hard to be a shoe on the concrete courts. This shoe has padding and spring right where I want it and fits great. I rate it high as a shoe for tennis and high for just a normal shoe. I tried to buy another just to wear, but prices and deals change quickly.

More comfortable than most tennis shoes. It is a tad more expensive than Wilson though. My foot width is 3E and it only comes in 4E so I have to clamp down on the laces quite a bit even with my ankle braces on. My only complaint with the shoe is, being a hard court grinder that I am, I get planar pain in my right foot. It could just be me, but I wanted to be honest here. Still, it is my shoe of preference over the Wilson 3E pro-staff which does not have enough cushioning for me (I weigh 195 lb!)

I use it for squash. It has good support. Haven't twisted my ankle yet.
NB is the only shoe that offers 4E... so i'm kinda stuck using them. |

The shoe is pretty comfortable. I don't especially like the additional layer on the sides of the inside, they make it a little difficult to put on. The laces are way too long, i'll probably have to replace them.

This comment is not about the shoe purchase but a purchase made at Christmas when I paid $20 more with Amazon on a $99 item. At Target and other stores, the WII Fit was $99 and at Amazon it was $119. Very disappointing and so next time I will have to shop price before ordering.

New Balance Men's CT1004 Tennis Shoe
This is the most expensive tennis shoe New Balance makes. I've worn their shoes for years as a tennis player. This new shoe is supposed to support your foot, but I experienced heel pain the first time I wore them. |
