Review: Tennis Anyone? by Richard Gould (Cited as Dick Gould in this title)

Dick Gould is regarded by many as the most successful coach in the entire history of intercollegiate tennis, so it really makes sense that he would write such an excellent, in depth book about conditioning your body and your mind for tennis. "Tennis Anyone?" is a text that is designed to provide students with the same types of proven, step by step instruction that are used in the tennis classes taught by Richard Gould at Stanford. This is an instruction manual and reference that is extremely useful to players of all age groups and levels of experience, and the text is reinforced using hundreds of color photographs. "Tennis Anyone?" is an excellent book for teaching tennis and tennis conditioning as well as everything else that you need to know about improving your game, which will help to prepare you for the game no matter what your level of experience is when you first pick the book up.

If you are looking for a good, in depth introduction to tennis, or if you are looking for a reference book to keep on you no matter what your experience level is, this is an excellent book to keep in your gym bag at all times. This is absolutely one of the greatest introductory tennis books out there, and it offers excellent coverage of all of the most fundamental aspects of learning and playing tennis. This book offers excellent photographs and color illustrations that make the text easy to understand, because clarity for the reader is vital if you want to learn how to play tennis from a book, or want to brush up on your tennis skills from this instructional manual. Dick Gould has already put out several editions of this title, but it really is not necessary, because despite the fact that the game of tennis has evolved significantly over time, the author of this book is still quite clear on teaching the most important fundamentals in approaching the game of tennis and what it will take for you to prepare for the game.

Tennis is a popular sport, and can be quite enjoyable but only if you prepare your body and mind accordingly. If you are looking for a text that is designed to ease you slowly but effectively into the game, then this is a book that is well worth picking up and keeping with you. Because Richard Gould stresses the right fundamentals and the things that you really need to know coming into the game of tennis, this is a must have reference book that can be referred to over and over to improve your game through and through.
