The BABOLAT Pure Storm Tour is best suited for players that have a wide swing, and that are looking for a powerful tennis racquet that offers a perfect balance between stability and control. The Carbon Xtreme offers more control and better sensations upon impact. The Woofer features technologies that link the frames and the strings for an optimal amount of comfort. The cross section is traditional for this type of racquet. Many Babolat Team Pro players are choosing this racquet, including but not limited to Fernando Gonzalez, Nicolas Massu, Robby Ginepri, Dinara Safina and Nadia Petrova.
The Babolat Pure Storm Tour racquet is offered as a replacement for the original Pure Control series, which was known to many for offering control. The Babolat Pure Storm Tour series offers the perfect blend between power, control and feel for a player's stick in a mid-plus head size. The Babolat is mixing the Carbon Extreme and Woofer technologies, featuring braided carbon in the hoop as a means of increasing torque, feel and resistance, and brings power to the party using string vibration dampening technologies from Woofer.
The Babolat Pure Storm Tour is offered in two different lengths. The standard Babolat Pure Storm Tour is 27 inches and the plus version is 27.5 inches long. Armed with control-oriented mid plus sticks, reviewers have found both of these racquets to provide a lot of control, a moderate amount of power and a great deal more. When it comes to ground strokes, the Babolat Pure Storm Tour provides a surprisingly forgiving and soft response, and even off center shots are not as jarring as they could be. Shots that hit the sweet spot felt like butter thanks to the optimal open string pattern.
Racquet testers have been impressed with the control, feel and stability offered by the Babolat Pure Storm Tour with volleys. This racquet offers a generous sweet spot with a good punch. The Babolat Pure Storm Tour also provides plenty of spin and control when it comes to serves. Some people have found that it offers a lack in pace, but this is not noticeable enough for many players to notice. Players have also been able to notice successful returns with the Babolat Pure Storm Tour, and most players have been able to get the racquet to do what they wanted without much trouble, meaning that this racquet is providing an adequate amount of control, and is good for new players who are just getting a feel for their capabilities on the court.
