The first thing that you are going to want to understand is that pro players are on a completely different level of playing in comparison to amateur players. Still, this is absolutely no reason for you not to look at pro players and take advice from them on how they play so that you can improve your capabilities on the court as well. Here are four unique things that pro players are known for doing that most amateur players do not do. If you implement these particular tennis tips in your game then you are going to notice a significant difference in your ability to play.
1 - Pro players are players that act consistently on the court.
Every single pro shot is made with precision and near perfection. If you asked a pro player to hit a specific spot at a pre determined speed, they would be able to do it without much trouble at all. If you want to have this kind of consistency in your own game, then you are going to need to practice for as long as 45 minutes every single day. What this means is that you should be practicing your backhand shots, your cross forehand shots and your shots down the line as well as anything else that you can think of.
2 - Pro players are swift footed and they are always consistently moving.
If you really want to play the way that the pros do, then you are going to need to keep yourself up on your toes all the time, bouncing, moving and remaining fluid at all times.
3 - Pro players are always selecting good positions when playing on the court because they are always anticipating the next move.
You need to always be keeping in mind during pickup games exactly where your opponent is going to move. Make a prediction and then make a reaction, that's simple! Predicting the moves of your opponent is going to go a really long way in helping to keep you moving and helping to keep you on your toes and at the top of your game.
4 - Finally, pros are not perfect but they certainly choose their shots much more wisely.
A pro is always going to be willing to trade shots and to wait for the absolute right moment for them to strike. They are not going to hammer away on every single shot. Each point that they make is timed out well and executed flawlessly. Do not drive it home unless the odds are going to be highly in your own personal favor.
If you follow these four tips then your opponents are going to end up chasing the tennis ball all around the court and you will be the one that is making points and winning matches.
