Wrap It Up

In layman's terms, this stuff is essentially a sticky tape that you can put on the handle of your tennis racquet. Lots of reasons to use the Wilson Pro Overgrip Tennis Racquet Grip (12 Pack)- for instance...
-it is a simple and inexpensive way to maintain your racquet grip
-use it to increase the handle size for a more effective hold (larger grips are easier on your hand/forearms which can help you avoid tennis elbow- read Treat Your Own Tennis Elbow if you've already got it)
-the right overgrip allows you to grasp the handle comfortably and control the racquet well
-a good grip may just give you the edge you need in your next match
-use it to keep your racquet from slipping around in your hand
-use it to fatten a handle that's a little too small
-great for customization of a racquet
So if you're looking for a good overgrip, consider this one- its reasonably priced and comes in a 12-pack. In fact the only negative I can think of about this product is that its white! |
Awesome overgrip!

I've used this overgrip for years now, and I refuse to use any other overgrip. I realized that, after shelling out some real money for those dinky 3-packs at Sports Authority or Modell's, I stumbled across the 12-pack offered on Amazon and, well...I got it!
This isn't a real big deal, but I really like the way the individual grips are packaged. They are more folded than rolled, which prevents the overgrip from rolling up by itself after you've unraveled it. Again, NOT a big deal, but an added bonus IMO.
The texture of this grip is just tacky enough where it doesn't interfere with quick grip changes. It is, however, sticky enough to adequately stay in your hand without you having to worry about a slippery handle.
I don't remember if other colors are offered, but to me, WHITE is pretty classic on a tennis racket. Maybe it's because Federer uses it, and I love the guy, but regardless, buy this package of grips and be content! |
Great deal and a great grip tape!

If you get this with free super saver shipping, this works out to be about $1 per wrap. That's quite a deal for some very nice wraps that work and last.
I use these on my racquetball handle but it will work great on any racquet. The grip level is perfect -- just enough so that the racquet does not twist in your hand and not too much so that switching grips between forehand and backhand is not impeded.
The grip is super easy to install and have the little 'extras' to make it simple. For example:
1) The grips come with a clear saran-wrap coating on one side that you need to peel off before wrapping it around your racquet.
2) The wrap comes with one end cut at an angle so that you get a proper wrap angle.
3) The tip also has a piece of double-sided tape stuck to it to keep it in place while you start wrapping.
4) It comes with a pre-cut piece of tape to finish taping the final end to the racket.
The wrap is also not too thin nor too thick. I did remove the original, factory wrap on my racquet before I put this on.
It also seems to have a very nice wear level. I have played 4 weeks now (3 games a week) and have no wear holes. |
nice thing

| As a player that goes through overgrips very often this 12 pk realy gives me more value. The tackyniss and cushion is very much present. As a player that used to play with leather grip before using overgrips I will be stretching these over grips to make the feel somewhat stiffer but tackyniss is better and absorption is good. |
Great grips, great price at amazon

| I swear by these when playing tennis for the feel and grip. They last long and do not peel off like other cheap ones. I used to buy these at full price ($22) at golfsmith. But not anymore... |
great value !

| I've been using Gamma overgrips for a while, and while I like them, I have been feeling like they get a little slick after just a few times out. These wilson overgrips are mostly the same feeling except they seem to me just a little bit more tacky to start and they hold their tackiness just a little bit longer. Great value on this 12 pack. I also like the length, perfect fit. The only downside is that only one end is tapered, unlike the gamma, so I do have to pull out the scissors to cut a taper at one end when installing. A very minor inconvenience. |
Great product for price.

| These grips are great even when it is really hot and you are sweating. Make sure you peal the clear plastic off first and begin the wrap with the non-tapered end. Now the only thing bad about them - why white? I change them sooner because they show dirt soon. I never knew my hands were so filthy. After about 10 hours of tennis (over several days) it begins to look like Pigpen has been using my rackets. Why don't they make them leather color, some kind of brown or tan? You don't think that they considered this and sell many more because of being white? |
BEST overgrip

Wilson Pro Overgrip Tennis Racquet Grip (12 Pack)
This has to be one of the best overgrips out there. its very tacky, yet also giving adequate absorbtion. feels very nice when playing with it, and my hand deosn't slip off. comes in handy resealable bag, however it is probably more economical to get the 30 pack of grips |
Best racquet grips!

| I have used many brands (Dunlop, Prince, etc.) and I have found the Wilson Pro Overgrips to be the best. Perfect balance between absorption and stickiness. Highly recommended. |

| Very grippy but not sticky. Soft and comfortable. The resealable bag is a nice touch. Definitely worth the price ($12.95 for 12)! |

| This porduct was easy to install and grip prvides a very tacky feel. Much more economical than buying a grip from pro shop as can use 2 overgrips and get same if not better effect. |
Great Overgrip

| Can't hold onto this stuff after I start sweating hard, even with a wristband on. Moreover, it loses the tacky feel in about 20 minutes. Ok for rec play or if you can change your racket or grip every 3 or 4 games... |
